You may think that you already know all about your mobile, that you already know all its secrets and tricks. It is possible, I’m not going to contradict you, but I am almost sure that you can find something, however small, that you still do not know about it.

Your smartphone hides many secrets, beyond your emails, photo or personal videos. Secrets that give access to new functions of Android, and which can only be accessed through the use of android secret codes or hidden menus.

Maybe, at least a priori, it does not seem attractive to know everything that hides your Android phone, and you are aware that perhaps they aren’t as useful as other apps and tricks that I tell you in some occasions, but I assure you that once you discover them, you won’t live without them.

You can use these codes easily, you have to open your phone dialer and introduce the codes until a new menu appears. Don’t worry, you will not make any calls to distant lands, everything is at home and doesn’t have any cost to you.

The hidden menus and android secret codes are prebuilt in the OS, so in most cases, it will not be necessary to have an Internet connection, either via network or WiFi, on the device to use them.

Finally, before getting down to work, you should bear in mind that some of these menus and secret codes of Android may not be compatible with your device since sometimes some brands and terminal models use their preset values.

USSD Codes

USSD stands for “Unstructured Supplementary Service Data.” It is a protocol that sends information through GSM, 3G or 4G. It is used to trigger actions remotely by sending a specific code.

Like I said before, to use these codes, you only need the phone dialer app. Usually, the USSD codes start and end with a pad. Your operator can provide you with the list for your phone, although some commands have been standardized and are available globally.

It is important to note that these codes don’t trigger actions on your phone, they provide information. An example can be #123#, which gives us information about your balance with Orange.

WARNING: Many of these codes trigger actions and may cause lost data or damage to the smartphone.
